What To Do Next
You will find the question often arise:
What should I do next?
And the answer is not often obvious.
(If it were there would be no need to ask.)
When it isn’t, and these are the cases in point,
deriving from the essentially equivalent profit
of next doing any number of things,
or none, for that matter, except that this leads
to a galloping case of acute ennui,
we would like some guiding principle.
And that, Gentle Reader, is what I give here:
Do whatever is closest to hand!
If you have no need to put out a fire,
and don’t have any wolves at the door,
spills on the floor, or stuck toilets,
work wherever you’re standing, sitting
or looking, and do whatever is called for.
Amen.
