Don’t listen to me, I have to say,

I change my mind so often.

I almost said ‘too often’ but won’t—

that would be wrong.

So often. So often.

I change my mind so very often

you really shouldn’t be paying attention,

unless it’s to keep an open mind to irrelevance,

and you’re willing to say you might be wrong

if you think like me, and probably are, 

indeed and therefore, moreover indubitably, 

are going about like a butterfly

no more intelligent than a caterpillar.
