Politician

Is a good politician (A) one who determines

the wishes of most of his constituents,

and works with diligence to achieve these —

no thoughts of his own,

Or does he (B) try to educate

and lead his ignorant, floundering flock

to a better and safer way of life—

a higher plane of existence?

We all know (C) is not correct:

to fleece the public for personal gain,

and certain, corporate, financial advantage,

so no breath need be wasted on that.

The answer is (B)! He’s an educator!

A leader and shepherd of sorts!

I won’t say Good, that would be too much,

like a Communist or a Religious Nut.

But truly, The Public could use some help

thinking through matters of Policy.
